Jess looked exquisitely beautiful in the Chinese traditional red 'kua-qun' and I sometime wonder, do we know the history of this 'kua-qun'? In the olden days, wedding dresses are usually red, the traditional colour of good luck and auspiciousness. The 'kua-qun' actually has many varieties of patterns. The dragon and phoenix are symbols of auspiciousness, the peony is a symbol of prosperity, the pomegranate symbolises many offspring and mandarin ducks are a symbol of marital love. One can also find goldfish, roses, the blessing rat, the lotus and words of happiness. The name of a kua depends on the designs on the front panel of the gown. If a goldfish design is on the front panel, it will be known as a goldfish kua

So if you are planning your wedding now, do consider to wear a 'kua' as it really brings a tradition feel in your wedding pics and besides, you only wear it once in a lifetime :)

We have been trying our best to deliver all 2013 final product before CNY and so far we are in track, then we can have a relaxing CNY celebration. Nicholas & Yen Sun Actual Day Wedding ~ 08.11.2013
Actual Day Wedding Photographer in Malaysia, Puchong, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur
It was a Friday and as usual we woke up early, 4.00am, to get ready for this actual day wedding... Nicholas & Yen Sun. Luckily, the traffic was good to us on that day, as you know traffic jams in KL during rush hours are really crazy.
I've mentioned in my previous blog before that antique cars are the 'in' thing now. You can rent it at special places which cater for weddings only. It really makes a Chinese tradisional wedding some how half Chinese half Western ^^ Well, of course our Malaysia Chinese weddings are quite modern now.
Also, recently we are seeing a lot of brides wearing a golden pig necklace with piglets hanging off the sow as a symbol of fertility. This is more to the Hongkies tradition.
Here are some photos from their actual day wedding to share with you. If you like what you see, do drop us an email at momentspix@live.com to enquire our rates for your consideration. Or you can also whatsapp Michelle at 016-337 2787.

Chris + Queenie Wedding Dinner Reception @ The Duchess Place, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur
Wedding Dinner Photographer Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur
This is the first time we photoshoot a wedding dinner at The Duchess Place. First impression when we saw this place....WoW! Very nice decos with a hint of western style. There were round and long tables. Dinner was the seated served type. The place is really not bad and there were a lot of lightings which enables us to capture a more romantic and elegant feel.
